Established by director Bernie Zelvis, Buzz Bomb Media is a One-Stop all-media production house. It has been grown to tackle the demands of emerging media and take advantage of new technologies, by bringing together Bernie's expertise with a network of new talent. The new direction of Buzz Bomb Media compliments the work he continues to do at major studios around Australia.
About Bernie Zelvis
A generation of Australians grew up watching TV directed by Bernie. Starting in Perth with "Kids Co." & "The Buzz", then moving to Sydney to direct "Cheez TV". As the interests of his audience changed, so did Bernie's projects. Working for Channel [V], he directed iconic programs such as The Joint, Room 208 and The Bus, in the process becoming the premiere Live Music Director in Australia.
As a live director he has directed the Big Day Out broadcasts for the past 10 years as well as the Max Sessions, the most awarded and longest running music program in Australia's history.
Bernie's achievements haven't been limited to the small screen:
- Cinematographer of FINAL CUT, a short film that went to the Cannes Film Festival.
- Director of ESME AND DANIEL - Special Jury Award @ Montecatini Terme Short Festival.
- Directed 5 WAMI award-winning music videos.
About Oliver Heath
Oliver Heath is the emerging media balance to Bernie's broadcast experience. He has diverse experience both in front and behind the camera, in theatre and in technical support for post production. Like Bernie, he's one of those annoying guys that's good at both the creative and the tech stuff. When not directing, Oliver is the other half of Bernie's team on guerilla shoots and production manager on the larger ones. With projects involving many freelancers, Oliver is a constant at Buzzbomb Media.
